PENGARUH GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN, MOTIVASI KERJA TERHADAP KEPUASAN KERJA DAN KOMITMEN ORGANISASI DI RUMAH SAKIT ANGKATAN DARAT DI WILAYAH KODAM JAYA

Abstract
            This research aims at analyzing the influence  of leadership style, job motivation toward job satisfaction and organization commitment in Kodam Jaya’s Army Hospitals.
            A Sample of 191 doctors and nurses from Mohamad Ridwan Maureksa’s hospital, Cijantung’s Army Hospital and Daan Mogot’s Army Hospital.  Females accounted for 62 % of sample while males were 38 %. The age of respondents were less than 30 years 14 %, between 30 years to 40 years 40 % and more than 40 years 46 %. The Education of  respondents  were nursery School (SPK) 35 %,Nursery third Diploma 41 %, Nursery graduate 2 %, doctor/dentist 12 %, post graduate/ specialist doctor/dentist 10 %.  The Idenficatioan  of respondents military 32 %, civilian 68 %.
            ANOVA was used to determine the relationship between demographic factors and research’s variables.  The result of ANOVA’s showed significant relationship between employee’s identity and job satisfaction,wich military’s job satisfaction was higher than civilian’s.
            Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to determine the relationship between four research’s variables. The result of SEMs showed:
(1)          There was no significant relationship between leadership style  and organizational commitment.
(2)          There was significant relationship between leadership style and job motivation.
(3)          There was no significant relationship between job motivation and organizational commitment.
(4)          There was significant relationship  between leadership style and job satisfaction.
(5)          There was significant relationship  between  job  motivation and  job satisfaction.
(6)          There was significant relationship  between  job  satisfaction  and   organizational commitment.
(7)          There was indirect relationship  between  leadership  style  and      organizational commitment through job satisfaction.
(8)          There was indirect relationship  between  job  motivation and   organizational commitment  through job satisfaction.

            In light of these findings, suggestions are provided for Army Hospitals Management to make priority for practices participative and supportive leadership style in managing hospital.
